Its been a little while since i've shared anything. This here its some inspiration from a sermon I heard about a month ago. I hope its as uplifting to you as it was to me.
Abraham is one of the greatest examples we have of faith. He gave up the known for the unknown, only knowing that God was the one who asked him to move. His life shows us that Faith is not in knowing where you're going but its in leaving where you are. Another example of such faith is Noah. He did not see one drop of rain all through the period of building the ark. So don't wait on the scholarhip money to start school, or the interview call to buy the interview outfit. Stop holding on to old relationships for fear of the existence or non-existence of new relationships. Answer that call!
Whatever it is God has called you to. Step out and do so now! The longer we take the harder it is to get moving. Don't fear the unknown, but know that "Faithful is he that calleth you, "~ 1 Thes 5:24.
If you want to get to new grounds:
- Be willing to let somethings die, or let some people go. Some of us need to let go of the excess baggage that we carry. Whether its friends of family. Sometimes your decision for God will cause you to choose between the call and those close to you. Always chose God! (Matthew. 10: 37)
- Learn to walk in obedience. Many of the Israelites who left Egypt never inherited the promise, all because of their disobedience.
- Get serious about believing in the promise of God. The quicker you believe what God has promised you the sooner you'd be able to walk confidently in faith.
All the best on your new journeys.
