Consider the birds

This morning I stepped out the door, bundled up to face the "Hard Freeze" predicted for our area. It was about 27 Degrees, considering the wind it felt about 16 Degrees. Now who says it does not get cold in the south? hmmm!!!

Driving on my way to work I looked up at the telephone lines and saw the birds. Hmmmm, I woudnt want to be a bird at this time of year. I'd be flying home to where I know its warm. I thought to myself. That got me thinking.

Seeing the birds perched up on the branch, and knowing how cold it is I wondered how they felt. Then I remembered reading some how birds are able to trap air between their feathers to provide insulation. If God made the birds to be able to survive this weather with no clothes, how much more can he handle my tiny problems.

How much more are your worth to God than a tiny bird? God thinks of you, give to him your troubles. Think on these words.

Matthew 6:
25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
