Put on your running shoes

What happens to people who play with fire? They get burnt!
What happens to the Ice who its sits by the fire? It melts!

If you lie with dogs? You get flees

If you haven't heard of these sayings, it's time to learn them. Sometimes we go through life struggling to give-up the things that keep us down. We know we can't drive but we buy cars and put them in our driveway. Well maybe not so drastic, but follow me. We want to stay away from clubbing but we buy that dress that we could only wear to the club. We want to stop eating meat but we stuff our freezer with turkey. We want to stop smoking but we keep a pack in our pocket. We want to stop drinking but we sit at the bar at restaurants.

When the Israelites got to the promise land they were told to destroy their enemies. They did not, and their enemies lived among them. These same enemies lead them to worship false gods, and turn away from their creator and provider.

We attempt to lie in bed with our temptations and think we could overcome them, yet time and time again in the word of God we're advised to run from sin. Though not literal, Mark 9 even mentioned cutting off limbs if they cause you to sin.

So if premarital sex is your issue, don't hang out in dark corners or on beds alone with that person you're attracted to. If its adultery, take your wife with you to bible study. If its overeating stay away from the kitchen. If it's watching too much TV, give away your TV as a Christmas gift. Whatever it is that brings you to that place remove it from your life. Destroy that thing that causes you to lust.

Joshua 16:10 "And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced laborers. (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee Fornicaiton..." (KJV)
